Dr. Kira Fonbah is Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist who, by the grace of God, maintains a small private practice in Hoover, Alabama. She is also the author of “Mariama’s Music Box-A Parable on Purity for Young Girls and their Guardians.” She is from Tuscaloosa, Alabama and is married to William Fonbah, who is a native of Limbe, Cameroon. They have three sons and one daughter.

Kira graduated summa cum laude from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, having double-majored in International Studies and French. She subsequently graduated cum laude from the University of Alabama School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Psychiatry and her fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Medical Center.
